Description
A small sun, or a fan of rays, hangs from each of these huggies. The hoop is 12 mm across and closes with a click; the sunburst below it moves freely, so it turns towards the light whenever you do. These are the most cheerful pieces in the Talismans line: the sun is an old symbol of warmth and good days, and the huggies are small enough to wear every day and to pair with a plain huggie or a stud in a second piercing.

Materials & care
Gold-plated 925 silver
925 silver is 92.5% pure silver, alloyed with other metals for strength. Gold-plated means a thin layer of gold covers its surface, giving the warm yellow colour for a fraction of the price of solid gold. Because the layer is thin, it wears with time and friction, fastest where a piece rubs: the inside of a ring, a clasp, the back of an earring. Perfume, sweat, chlorine and salt water wear it faster. 925 sterling silver
925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver; the rest is other metals, which make it hard enough to wear. It has the bright, cool white of silver all the way through, so there is no layer to wear away. Over time it darkens in air and on contact with some foods, rubber and cosmetics; this is tarnish, a surface film that a silver polishing cloth removes. Wear it often and keep it in a closed pouch, and it stays bright. [PLACEHOLDER: owner to confirm whether silver pieces are left natural or rhodium-plated.]
Care
The rays have fine edges: keep the huggies on their own in a pouch so they cannot catch on chains or knitwear.
