Kokkos means a grain, and every second link of this bracelet is covered in tiny raised beads, like grains packed close together, while the links between them are smooth and polished. The ovals are generous, about 16 mm by 12 mm, so the bracelet sits loose and heavy on the wrist and moves when you do. It is the bracelet in our photographs with denim and a black top: bold enough to wear alone, and the anchor for any stack.
925 silver is 92.5% pure silver, alloyed with other metals for strength. Gold-plated means a thin layer of gold covers its surface, giving the warm yellow colour for a fraction of the price of solid gold. Because the layer is thin, it wears with time and friction, fastest where a piece rubs: the inside of a ring, a clasp, the back of an earring. Perfume, sweat, chlorine and salt water wear it faster. When the silver starts to show, the piece can be plated again. [PLACEHOLDER: owner to state the thickness and caratage of the gold layer, and whether the shop re-plates, and at what cost.]
925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver; the rest is other metals, which make it hard enough to wear. It has the bright, cool white of silver all the way through, so there is no layer to wear away. Over time it darkens in air and on contact with some foods, rubber and cosmetics; this is tarnish, a surface film that a silver polishing cloth removes. Wear it often and keep it in a closed pouch, and it stays bright. [PLACEHOLDER: owner to confirm whether silver pieces are left natural or rhodium-plated.]
The beaded links hold on to dust and lotion: brush them gently now and then with a soft, dry toothbrush, and keep the bracelet away from hand cream.
You have 14 days from receipt to withdraw, no reason needed, and 14 days from telling us to send the piece back. Engraved pieces and those made to your specifications are the exception. [PLACEHOLDER: to be reviewed by a lawyer.]
