Description
Three things in one small earring: a huggie set along its front with a row of tiny cubic zirconia stones, a little knot of twisted wire, and a round CZ in a four-claw setting that swings beneath it. The hoop is 11 mm across and clicks shut; the whole earring is just 22 mm long. A knot has long stood for the bond between two people, which makes Kombos a natural gift, and the sparkle makes it easy to wear from morning to evening.

Materials & care
Gold-plated 925 silver
925 silver is 92.5% pure silver, alloyed with other metals for strength. Gold-plated means a thin layer of gold covers its surface, giving the warm yellow colour for a fraction of the price of solid gold. Because the layer is thin, it wears with time and friction, fastest where a piece rubs: the inside of a ring, a clasp, the back of an earring. Perfume, sweat, chlorine and salt water wear it faster. 925 sterling silver
925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver; the rest is other metals, which make it hard enough to wear. It has the bright, cool white of silver all the way through, so there is no layer to wear away. Over time it darkens in air and on contact with some foods, rubber and cosmetics; this is tarnish, a surface film that a silver polishing cloth removes. Cubic zirconia
Cubic zirconia, sold in Greece as «ζιργκόν», is a crystal made in a laboratory and cut with many facets so that it throws back the light. It gives real sparkle at an everyday price. It is hard-wearing but can be scratched by harder materials, so store pieces apart.
Care
Check now and then that the claws still hold the drop stone firmly, and keep the huggies apart from other pieces so the small stones are not scratched.
