Monopati is a footpath, the narrow way through the woods, and this is our lightest bracelet: a fine chain of small paperclip links, 6 mm long, that weighs almost nothing and catches the light along its length. It fastens with a spring-ring clasp and a short extension, from 16 to 19 cm. Wear it alone on a slim wrist, or let it run between the bolder pieces of a stack, as in our photograph with the Lithostroto tennis bracelet.
925 silver is 92.5% pure silver, alloyed with other metals for strength. Gold-plated means a thin layer of gold covers its surface, giving the warm yellow colour for a fraction of the price of solid gold. Because the layer is thin, it wears with time and friction, fastest where a piece rubs: the inside of a ring, a clasp, the back of an earring. Perfume, sweat, chlorine and salt water wear it faster. When the silver starts to show, the piece can be plated again. [PLACEHOLDER: owner to state the thickness and caratage of the gold layer, and whether the shop re-plates, and at what cost.]
925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver; the rest is other metals, which make it hard enough to wear. It has the bright, cool white of silver all the way through, so there is no layer to wear away. Over time it darkens in air and on contact with some foods, rubber and cosmetics; this is tarnish, a surface film that a silver polishing cloth removes. Wear it often and keep it in a closed pouch, and it stays bright. [PLACEHOLDER: owner to confirm whether silver pieces are left natural or rhodium-plated.]
Fine chains tangle: fasten the clasp before putting the bracelet away and keep it in a pouch of its own.
You have 14 days from receipt to withdraw, no reason needed, and 14 days from telling us to send the piece back. Engraved pieces and those made to your specifications are the exception. [PLACEHOLDER: to be reviewed by a lawyer.]
