Description
Vryo means moss, and this ring looks like a piece of mossy rock from the Pindos: a wide band, 8 mm, with a deep, molten texture of hollows and ridges, and three small round green cubic zirconia stones set into it like patches of moss. It is open at the back, so it adjusts gently to fit fingers from about EU 50 to 58. Bold on its own, and the centre of a stack with the Elato and Mazi rings, as in our photographs.

Materials & care
Gold-plated 925 silver
925 silver is 92.5% pure silver, alloyed with other metals for strength. Gold-plated means a thin layer of gold covers its surface, giving the warm yellow colour for a fraction of the price of solid gold. Because the layer is thin, it wears with time and friction, fastest where a piece rubs: the inside of a ring, a clasp, the back of an earring. Perfume, sweat, chlorine and salt water wear it faster. 925 sterling silver
925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver; the rest is other metals, which make it hard enough to wear. It has the bright, cool white of silver all the way through, so there is no layer to wear away. Over time it darkens in air and on contact with some foods, rubber and cosmetics; this is tarnish, a surface film that a silver polishing cloth removes. Wear it often and keep it in a closed pouch, and it stays bright. [PLACEHOLDER: owner to confirm whether silver pieces are left natural or rhodium-plated.]
Green cubic zirconia
Cubic zirconia in a deep green, the colour of pine needles. Our rings set it in small stones that read as dots of colour against the metal.
Care
Adjust the ring once, gently, to fit, and then leave it: bending an open ring back and forth weakens the metal.
